Luxury watch and jewellery retailer Goldsmiths has opened an upsized and revamped store at the Bullring shopping centre in Birmingham, spanning two floors over 8,000 sq ft.

It marks a substantial investment for the Watches of Switzerland Group-owned retailer, and the enhanced boutique is situated on a dual-sided corner space with a glass wrap around the frontage, featuring a dedicated entrance to a new Rolex area.

The new-look store showcases individual branded areas for luxury retailers such as Cartier, TAG Heuer, TUDOR and Hublot, alongside additional central watch cabinets displaying Chanel, Gucci, Oris, Tissot and the introduction of pre-owned models to the showroom.

It also houses an extensive selection of renowned names in luxury jewellery, including FOPE, Messika, Roberto Coin, Mappin & Webb, Jenny Packham and Goldsmiths’ own collections.

Adding to the luxury shopping experience, the new ‘showroom’ has introduced a premium hospitality bar on the first floor. The store also houses private consultation rooms, a pop-up jewellery space, a dedicated service and repair lounge, a watch makers room, and areas for polishing and cleaning.

Craig Bolton, President of the Watches of Switzerland Group in UK and Europe, said: “We are pleased to announce the expansion and re-opening of the new Goldsmiths Bullring showroom which is a great reflection of the investment to the local area but also our commitment to clients to deliver the very best in watch and jewellery retail.

“With two floors of luxury watches and jewellery, the showroom features the very latest Goldsmiths luxury design concept with a large Rolex room.

“We are proud to offer our clients the finest selection of brands in the ultimate luxury environment, and with a hospitality bar upstairs our hosts will encourage clients to relax and enjoy the space. Whether they are purchasing something new, having a timepiece serviced or looking into a timepiece from our pre-owned range, there is something for everyone in Goldsmiths Bullring and we look forward to welcoming existing and new clients.”

Toby Tait, Director of Asset Management at Bullring owner Hammerson, added: “Goldsmiths’ significant upsize to create one of the largest stores within its portfolio is a clear sign that the Watches of Switzerland Group share our vision for the Bullring’s future.

“The new showroom complements the extensive line-up of leading names in jewellery within the destination, as part of a sector that continues to perform extremely well across our portfolio. The new-look boutique adds more choice for our visitors, offering a premium experience to shop their favourite luxury brands under one roof.”
