Swedish shirtmaker Eton has launched a range of premium limited-edition shirts and accessories paying homage to The Beatles.

The first drop consists of 10 shirts – retailing between £349 - £499, and two accessories. There will be two further drops spanning 2024.

The Eton x The Beatles collection is described as “seamlessly merging the worlds of music and menswear”, and each shirt comes elegantly presented in a bespoke green box reminiscent of The Beatles’ Apple Records record label, which was founded by the band in 1968 under the holding company of Apple Corps.

Each band member has their own dedicated shirt, with ‘Paul’s Shirt’ and ‘Ringo’s Shirt priced at £499, and ‘John’s Shirt’ and ‘George’s Shirt’ at £349.

There’s also ‘The Abbey Road Shirt’, ‘The Help! Shirt’, ‘The Revolver Shirt’, ‘The Magical Mystery Tour Shirt’, ‘The White Album Shirt’ and ‘The Octopus Garden Shirt’, as well as ‘The Help! Tie’ (£180) and ‘The Help! Pocket Square’ (£100).

The collection has been conceptualised by Eton’s Creative Director, Sebastian Dollinger, a lifelong fan of The Beatles, serving as “an ode to the band’s expansive discography”. Each piece showcases unique artistic interpretations of iconic elements from the band’s storied history.

Dollinger said: “We got to freely interpret the Beatles massive content archive into Eton products, and I found myself making some sort of modern memorabilia. When the collection was designed it had to be approved by the Apple company, and happily they loved everything about it.

“It started with me getting fascinated by The Beatles when the ‘Get Back’ documentary was released. I was a great Beatles fan before, but when the documentary was released, I got even more inspired.

“And then, we had this special collection request from our biggest wholesale partner in Canada. A family-owned company with more than 13 luxury menswear stores across the country called Harry Rosen. A family that is not just great people but also loves music.

“Initially, it started as a Beatles capsule collection, meant to be sold only at Harry Rosen stores in Canada. But then the collection grew and now it is available at selected Eton stores and on the Eton website.

“Transforming The Beatles legendary discography and artwork into a nostalgic yet modern collection has been a true honour."

The’ Abbey Road Shirt’ takes inspiration from the famous Abbey Road album cover featuring the group walking across a zebra crossing outside Abbey Road Studios. It’s crafted in a light, crisp 100% cotton poplin and is adorned in vertical stripes.

Dollinger added: “Abbey Road is my absolute favourite album. It’s simply incredible. I wanted to recreate some crossing and realised the stripes in the crosswalk can easily be raised so as to become stripes. Then it was a matter of placement of the guys, so that it would look like they were walking across your shirt.”
