Hirestreet steps into footwear rental with Schuh partnership

Hirestreet has stepped into footwear rental for the first time in partnership with retailer Schuh.

The rental platform said it was experiencing a record summer for occasionwear rental, with traffic up 300% year on year, and in July alone it had received 250 requests for shoes to complement the outfits.

A new partnership with Schuh, which goes live from today, enables customers to hire a full look for the first time with a range of Schuh shoes from high heels to wedges on offer.

Rental prices start from £5 for a five-day period and £10 for ten days. Seven styles are currently available to hire.

West was one of the UK fashion rental space's pioneers and set up the Hirestreet business in 2018. It is now the exclusive rental partner for more than 50 brands, including ASOS, Nobody’s Child, Marks & Spencer and Oasis.

Schuh, meanwhile, is one of the leading fashion footwear retailers with over 120 stores in the UK, Ireland and online, selling over 80 brands alongside its own label collection.
