Havaianas poaches Nike exec for European CEO role

Havaianas, the flip flop brand synonymous with summer, has today announced the appointment of Harm van de Camp as the new President for parent company Alpargatas, Europe.

With over 18 years of brand experience, Harm van de Camp brings to Alpargatas a wealth of expertise to the 1962-founded footwear company. Van de Camp previously worked within the global footwear and apparel industry and held tenure at Nike in several EMEA leadership positions. Most recently he was the General Manager of Nike stores EMEA for over four years.

In his new role, he will prioritize sustainable and profitable growth for the Havaianas brand, focusing on establishing a year-round consumer engagement through an integrated 360-brand approach, ensuring the brand’s continued success in the European market.

The creator of the modern flip flops, Havaianas, was born in Brazil in 1962. Now, the brand is present in over 120 countries.
