Gap Inc. names former Mattel chief as new President and CEO

Gap Inc. has appointed Richard Dickson as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective 22 August 2023.

Dickson will join Gap Inc. from Mattel, where he has served as President and Chief Operating Officer since 2014.

In this role, he has led the global corporate transformation of Mattel's brands and helped restore the company to growth".

Dickson was also appointed to the Board of Directors at Gap Inc. in November 2022.

He will replace Interim CEO Bobby Martin, who will remain as Chair of Gap Inc. to ensure a "smooth transition".
