Galvan opens first "Studio" retail space in London
Galvan has opened a new retail concept in Notting Hill, which combines an office, workspace, showroom, archive and bridal atelier all within one "Studio".
Chief executive of the modern, luxury evening wear brand Paul O'Regan said the Studio provided the "perfect antidote to anonymous shopping".
“Intimate and transparent, these are spaces which give customers insight into the brand and its vision. We are excited to offer a suite of services that truly address the shopping desires and habits of our London customers,” he said.
Services on offer from the Studio include:
- Ability to purchase current collection, pre-order from next collection and place order from Galvan's archive of previous collections (this service will also be launched online next year)
- Delivery of online purchases by a sales assistant who can do a complimentary fitting in the customer’s home and take garments away for alteration
- Delivery of online purchases by a sales assistant who can wait while the customer tries on purchases or bring additional sizes for a customer to try
- Complimentary fittings at home with up to eight garments. Any purchases will only be charged after the fitting, and the customer has no obligation to purchase
- Complimentary home delivery for any purchase made in the Studio
- Complimentary fittings in the Studio for any online purchases
Further Studios are planned in New York and Los Angeles for the brand, which was founded in 2014 by four women from the worlds of fashion and contemporary art – Anna-Christin Haas, Sola Harrison, Carolyn Hodler and Katherine Holmgren.
The brand has gone on to become a fixture on the red carpet and is stocked by some of the world's most prestigious multi-brand retailers including Matchesfashion.com, Net-A-Porter, Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Lane Crawford, The Webster, Bergdorf Goodman, Boutique 1, and Moda Operandi.
The London Studio is based at 8 Clarendon Cross, London, W11 4AP.
