Frasers Group has appointed new directors to its board in an effort to bring additional skills and expertise to support the long-term growth and elevation strategy of the business.

Helen Wright, Global CEO of Sergio Rossi, has been appointed as Non-Executive Director. Meanwhile, Frasers Group's David Al-Mudallal, Chief Operating Officer, and Ger Wright, Managing Director of Sports, have joined as Executive Directors.

The group also intends to appoint Sir Jon Thompson, former CEO of the Financial Reporting Council, as a Non-Executive Director. He is expected to be appointed later in the year.

David Daly, Chairman at Frasers Group, said: "Much has changed at Frasers over recent years and today is another significant milestone in our transformation as we welcome new high-calibre individuals to the board.

"I know that we will benefit from their leadership and expertise. I'm also delighted that their appointments further diversify our board, ensuring that we have the range of skills and views required to enable the future success of our elevation strategy."

Helen Wright joins Frasers Group with over 25 years' experience as a senior executive in international luxury and lifestyle consumer brands. She was appointed as CEO of Sergio Rossi last year and also previously served as CEO at Belstaff and Anya Hindmarch, as well as Global Vice President at Karl Lagerfeld.

Ger Wright has been Managing Director of Sports at Frasers Group since 2022, having joined with 20 years' executive experience across commercial, product and merchandising functions. She previously worked at Levi's and Nike.

David Al-Mudallal was appointed as Chief Operating Officer at Frasers Group in August 2021. Since joining the group in 2017, he has held a range of senior roles, including Chief of Staff and Head of Operations.

Sir Jon Thompson hopes to bring a wealth of experience in governance, reporting and audit, having led the transformation of the Financial Reporting Council following multiple independent audits.

His previous roles include Chair of HS2, CEO of HMRC, and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, as well as positions such as Director General of Finance at the Ministry of Defence, Director General of Corporate Services at the Department for Education, and Finance Director of Ofsted.

Michael Murray, CEO of Frasers Group, said: "Today's appointments reflect the progress we have made to date on Frasers' transformation and elevation strategy, as well as our ambitions for the future of the group."
