05 November 2021

FatFace has appointed Mike Rainer as its new chief financial officer as it seeks to reshuffle its leadership team.

Rainer will to join the business on 15 November, succeeding Will Crumbie, who took up the role as the lifestyle fashion retailer’s CEO in September.

Crumbie was appointed CEO when previous chief executive Liz Evans left in September to join Asda’s George clothing business as managing director.

Rainer has previously held the role as chief financial officer for number of companies including Theo Paphitis Retail Group, retail chain Eat, Jaeger and fashion retailer Blue Inc. He has also held senior roles at Mothercare and Selfridges.

British retailer FatFace has more than 200 stores in the UK, Ireland and the US. The Hampshire-based company was subject to a ransomware attack in January this year, and paid a two million dollars ransom to Conti cyber criminals to unlock encrypted data.
