In the run-up to the release of Warner Bros’ long-awaited Barbie movie - starring Margo Robbie as the protagonist and Ryan Gosling as Ken – global retailers jump on the Barbie bandwagon with all pink, logo-clad collaborative collections.

Shoppers are stepping into Barbie's world with apparel, accessories, jewellery and shoes. Whether they have been lifelong fans of the iconic doll, or they're fans of anything pink, customers can tap into their 'Kenergy' with the ongoing slew of fashion collaborations.

To celebrate the upcoming release, TheIndustry.fashion has put together a round-up of the recent Barbie-themed launches from fashion brands in the UK. Those fueling the 'Barbiecore' trend include Gap, Primark, Zara, Kipling and more.

Gap x Barbie

The limited edition Gap x Barbie collection, for women and kids, combines Gap's signature style and product icons with classic Barbie branding. It includes a range of graphic t-shirts, vests, logo hoodies, cycling shorts and a cap. Each piece is created in Barbie's signature style: bright pinks and bold patterns.

The collection is now available exclusively in the UK on Gap.co.uk and at the retailer's flagship store on Oxford Street, London.

Zara x Barbie

Zara is encouraging its shoppers to play dress-up, thanks to its latest collaboration with Barbie. The capsule includes both menswear and womenswear as well as beauty products and home decor. The highstreet retailer has even released an exclusive fragrance, housed in an all-pink glass bottle, of course.

Most looks are rendered in Barbie pink, but glitter accents and logo patches don't go amiss.

Primark x Barbie

Primark thinks pink this summer with its new Barbie The Movie range.  The collection, which includes womenswear, menswear, accessories, nightwear, home and beauty, showcases the Barbie Land logo from the movie. As a part of Primark’s mission to make fashion-forward pieces accessible to all, the collection ranges from £3 to £20.

Sarah Jackson, Director of Licensing at Primark, said: "We are delighted to partner with Mattel on the release of our Barbie The Movie collection. Barbiecore is spreading worldwide, and we are thrilled to offer our customers licensed fashion and accessories across womenswear, menswear, kidswear and lifestyle, including the iconic Venice Beach athletic wear which became an internet sensation so everyone can unleash their inner Barbie and Ken this summer."

Aldo x Barbie

Aldo's limited-edition collection was inspired by Barbie's accessories from miniature handbags to pink sky scraping stilettos. This time, the retailer super sizes Barbie's signature style with playful accessories "built for playing in real life".

Made up of translucent handbags, chunky platform heels, bejewelled logo earrings and more, the collection provides the perfect sign-off to any all-pink ensemble.

ASOS x Barbie

Following countless online retailers collaborating with Barbie owner Matel, ASOS ensured it didn't miss out on Barbie-mania. The womenswear collection, which includes unisex styles, sees the Barbie logo take centre stage on a slew of t-shirt silhouettes. Barbie's face also makes an appearance, this time in a two-piece denim ensemble.

The 11-piece collection ranges from £5 logo-clad socks to a £48 denim jacket doused in the doll's signature facade.

Kipling x Barbie

With the world set to be gripped by Barbiecore fever this summer, Belgian bag and accessories brand Kipling launched a collaboration with the fashion doll's parent brand Matel.

The ‘Barbiefied’ range, which includes eight bags and accessories, is a playful homage to the doll's signature pink hue. Even Kipling’s monkey charm underwent a Barbie makeover, doused in hot pink fur. Even the finishing touches, including the bags’ linings and the logo, have been Barbiefied.

Boohoo x Barbie

Fast fashion e-tailer Boohoo teamed up with Barbie to launch a limited-edition capsule collection. The nostalgia-evoking collection consists of pieces that combine Boohoo’s streetwear edge with Barbie flair, paying homage to the doll who has been influencing fashion since 1959.

Jon Spalding, Head of UK Consumer Products at Mattel, commented: "With Barbiecore everywhere this summer, the partnership with Boohoo is a natural fit and brings this trend, along with Y2K together in one incredible collection. We are excited to partner with the team at Boohoo to offer fans great products as we celebrate this exciting time for Barbie."

As the largest range we've seen yet, the collection consists of 39 styles. The ready-to-wear sizes range from 4-28 for an inclusive £6 - £50.

Crocs x Barbie

As Barbie sweeps the nation, even Crocs jumped on board. The footwear brand teamed up with Barbie to release limited-edition clogs inspired by the pop culture icon.

The collection includes four styles, all in Barbie pink, of course. Each style is equipped with Jibbitz that reference the movie, including the Barbie logo, handbags, shoes and accessories.

The Crocs Classic Mega Crush Clog, which is now sold out, are currently being traded at a 122% price premium on StockX.

Impala x Barbie

Back in 2022, as the first images from the Barbie movie began to surface, there was one that fans couldn’t get enough of – Margo Robbie and Ryan Gosling skating in their retro 80s-inspired fits. So, it came as no surprise that the skate brand Impala partnered with Barbie on a collection. The Barbie x Impala collection brings the as-seen-in the Barbie movie styles to life.

The collaboration brings the bright yellow Inline Skates to life, along with the matching protective set and coordinating socks.

Gwenn Strating Moen, Global Marketing Manager, commented: "Our collaboration with Barbie represents our shared commitment to promoting and encouraging fun, inclusivity and self-expression. We are proud of our global community of skaters that are welcoming to all, from all walks of life and all levels of skating ability. Impala truly is for everyone and we aim to celebrate that in everything that we do."

EMU Australia x Barbie

EMU Australia teamed up with Barbie, rendering its classic slippers and boots in the iconic Barbie pink. The company uses Barbie’s dreamhouse as the backdrop for slipping into its sheepskin styles.

Rebecca Fett, Global. Marketing Manager at EMU Australia, commented: "Conceptualised through a mutual admiration for each other’s brands, EMU Australia is thrilled to collaborate with such an iconic property. We were excited to connect the beautiful southern coast of Australia to the iconic Barbie Dreamhouse to create stylish comfortable footwear for today’s flexible indoor/outdoor living."
