eBay UK has today announced that it's launching its first-ever eBay LIVE, allowing shoppers to browse exclusive pre-loved fashion in real time. The livestream will be hosted by comedian Katherine Ryan and eBay’s Pre-Loved Style Director, Amy Bannerman.

Launching at 8pm on Wednesday 1 May, the interactive livestream will allow fans to delve into Katherine Ryan's very own wardrobe.

Items available include pieces she's worn on the red carpet and even on her hit TV show, The Duchess. All funds raised will be donated to the Women’s Health Information & Support Centre (WHISC) charity.

Each item will be available as ‘buy it now’ through Messina Hembry’s eBay store, a vintage store that gives second-hand designer clothing another chance at life.

Katherine Ryan said: "I’ve always enjoyed being playful with clothes and am known for my sense of style, so I’m excited to be partnering with eBay to clear out my wardrobe now there are no fashion fees to sell pre-loved fashion. I’m always dressing up for events and am a huge fan of buying and selling on eBay to find fashion gems.

"For the very first eBay Live in the UK, I have included pieces from my Netflix series The Duchess and other iconic events, so tune in to hear more about my worn-once show-stopping fits which I hope will bring others as much joy as they have to me!"

This follows the news that eBay abolished seller's fees for fashion items in a bid to boost the resale market, as it estimates there is £16.3 billion worth of unworn items in UK wardrobes.

The abolition of the seller's fee, which came into effect earlier this month, is just one of the ways the global resale platform is aiming to encourage circular fashion consumption. New features, such as AI-powered listings, have also been introduced.
