03 October 2023

Dr. Martens will open a new 4,967 sq ft store at 184-190 Oxford Street on 10 November 2023, adding to the store it already has at number 386 on the street.

It will mark the 100th Dr. Martens store in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa region) and the second largest only to its Camden store.

The new location on Oxford Street will increase Dr. Martens’ presence in an area under rejuvenation which is known for its heavy footfall. It is also close to the brand’s flagship store on Carnaby Street.

Trading on one floor, the new store will "incorporate elements reflecting Dr. Martens’ commitments to sustainability and music", a cornerstone of Dr. Martens’ brand and history.

Mike Stopforth, EMEA President at Dr. Martens, said: "Oxford Street has long been a key shopping location for London. It feels fitting that our 100th store location should reflect our iconic brand so well.

"We have travelled a long way since launching the 1460, 63 years ago, but our brand is authentic to its origins and, while we have stores across Europe, it is symbolic that the 100th is in London alongside our flagship on Carnaby Street. We’re hugely excited to open the doors and welcome customers from the UK and all over the world."

The new Oxford Street location will mark the brand’s 34th UK store, and its eighth in London. It is also in line with the company’s "strategy to continue inspiring and engaging customers in-store with the range of Dr. Martens’ iconic products".
