Online fashion resale platform Depop has entered a six-month partnership with pop-up retail space provider Sook, which will see its most popular sellers occupying empty units for a limited time.

Bringing sustainable and circular fashion to the high street, four pop-ups will open in London throughout November and December for the Christmas party season with 11 unique Depop sellers.

The pop-ups will kick off with ‘kathandrosa’ taking over a space on South Molton Street on 30 November, with an edit of handpicked vintage and Y2K pieces.

Other retail spaces will include London’s Oxford Street, the Bullring in Birmingham, Liverpool ONE and Edinburgh’s St. James Quarter.

Sook’s retail space on Oxford Street will provide Depop sellers ‘celiapops’, ‘alicefletchf’ and ‘reloadedldn’ with the opportunity for in real life (IRL) retail on 15-16 December.

They will be followed by ‘chrissynx’, ‘shophenri’,‘jwarren’ and ‘katierowe100’ bringing their offering of handpicked vintage and 00’s styles to Oxford Street from 22- 24 December.

The 2023 series will be closed out by ‘imdesigns’, ‘elianaavintage’ and ‘ellboll’ at the Oxford Street space on 30 December, with more pop-ups to come across the country in 2024.

The event series is being made possible through ‘Powered by Depop’, a programme which gives sellers the tools to take their business offline, and aims to promote the purchase of circular fashion.

Steve Dool, Director of Brand and Marketing at Depop, said: “We’re excited to be working with Sook to give people the opportunity to shop from their favourite Depop sellers in the real world.

“By partnering with Sook, we hope we can reach and inspire more people to look to circular fashion options that are kinder to the planet, rather than buying new.”

John Hoyle, Founder of Sook, added: “We are very excited to be partnering with Depop to elevate the businesses of young entrepreneurs and help increase access to circular fashion in real life across the country.

“This new partnership is in line with our goal of supporting brands in bringing their vision to life, and is reflective of the growing appetite among UK consumers to shop more consciously.”
