19 July 2018

Footwear giant Converse and designer JW Anderson have launched a four-day pop-up shop, art gallery and events space in the heart of London's Soho to celebrate the TOY collection, their second collaboration.

Conceived to be part retail space and part art gallery, The TOY Gallery on Beak Street will host a series of events outside of gallery hours before closing on Sunday 22 July.

Programming across the four days includes:

  • - Kimberly Drew, New York based writer, curator and activist with a passion for innovation in art, fashion and culture will be discussing ‘What is art, anyway’ with Ashleigh Kane (Dazed)
  • - London female creative network Babyface in conversation with Kusheda Mensa, Christabel Macgreevy and Antonia Marsh; three multi-media artists currently turning heads in the industry discussing the democratisation of art, and why the pursuit of fun should be a preoccupation of all artists
  • - A zine workshop hosted by London based Risograph Printer and publishing house Hato Press. A community driven independent studio made up of a team that specialise in risograph printing, design, publishing and workshops, Hato Press will be poster and zine printing live in the pop-up
