Coco de Mer opens Knightsbridge pop-up in time for Valentine’s

Luxury lingerie brand Coco de Mer has opened a new pop-up boutique at 24A Motcomb Street in London’s Knightsbridge, in time to capitalise on Valentine’s Day and beyond and set to run until at least 1 March 2024.

As well as its lingerie, erotic products and gifts, the pop-up is housing Coco de Mer’s ‘Salons’ concept, which aims to improve sexual wellness.

Coco de Mer switched to a global digital first strategy last year - moving to a new Primrose Hill headquarters and private shopping space.

Sales shot up by 50%, with a fivefold increase in the size of its wholesale division and a 45% surge in international stockists.

Celebrity collaborations with stars such as Helena Christensen and Pamela Anderson have also "powered the brand forward globally".

Lucy Litwack, Owner and CEO of Coco de Mer, said: "The fresh focus on becoming a truly global brand with a digital first strategy has really worked for us over the last year in boosting sales and profits.

"But I have bricks-and-mortar retailing in my blood and I was so excited by the idea of showcasing our beautiful lingerie and gifting in a location as wonderful as Motcomb Street.

"We are there until at least the start of March and have the option to stay for longer. We know that our customers love the personal shopping experience and hopefully they will see how important it is to have an independently-owned luxury retailer offering something unique to the high street chains at such an iconic location."

The pop-up shop windows have been hand painted by Sarah Peters, Co-founder of Studio Braemar, which has created bespoke shopfronts for various boutiques in London’s West End.

Additionally, in-store flowers arrangements have been designed by Delta of Venus, which provides bespoke displays for businesses.

Litwack added: "I love the fact that we are three female owned independent businesses supporting each other."
