Off-price fashion retailer BrandAlley UK has acquired a majority stake in The Edit LDN, unlocking a new phase for the sneaker and streetwear marketplace.

Founded by Moses Rashid in 2020, The Edit LDN is a global online destination for pre-loved sneakers and high-end streetwear.

With rapid growth, the British business now ships worldwide and caters to a diverse audience of customers, ranging from your average consumer to celebrities and even royalty.

Last year, The Edit LDN secured $4.8 million in a seed funding round to help accelerate its growth in global markets.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Rashid will remain as The Edit LDN's CEO following BrandAlley's takeover.

In a statement on LinkedIn, Rashid said: "Brandalley UK acquires Majority Stake in The Edit LDN. Yes…. You read that right. Now Announcing Phase 2.0...

"Now that’s the only bit of the story I’d love you to see….. but here’s the reality.

"Whilst we had another year of growth on the back drop of a difficult economic climate impacting the big players like Farfetch and Matches, 2023 was a challenged year for many and that included us.

"Some very difficult decisions had to be made so please know there was nothing glamorous about how WE got here.

"A special thanks to my team at The Edit LDN who battled, scraped and kept the faith. Now for 2.0.

"We’re incredibly excited for the journey ahead and look forward to working with Rob Feldmann, Ray Clacher and the executive team taking The Edit LDN to Infinity and Beyond."

BrandAlley UK is a flash sale website for designer brands. It is a members-only site home to hundreds of high-profile labels in fashion, beauty and home, including Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen and Michael Kors.
