Belstaff launches "Britannia" capsule collection with INEOS Team UK

British heritage brand Belstaff has now launched its much anticipated "Britannia" capsule collection with INEOS Team UK – the British sailing team led by Sir Ben Ainslie which will be competing for the 36th America’s Cup Challenge in Auckland, New Zealand, in March 2021.

Belstaff Creative Director, Sean Lehnhardt-Moore, was inspired by the clothing worn by America’s Cup teams throughout history, in particular, the 1950’s. The collection merges iconic Belstaff pieces with high-performance materials designed for optimum durability. The "Britannia" collection is named after the team’s first race boat.

The 23-piece capsule collection includes a new, lightweight, water and wind-resistant dry wax version of the brand’s famous four-pocket "Trialmaster" jacket, coming in a new colour-way with a special America’s Cup Challenger Britannia emblem on one sleeve, which features throughout the collection.

There’s also a quilted gilet, a Merino wool scarf, a military-inspired jacket and shawl neck and roll-neck knitwear, as well as Tees and sweats. In addition, Belstaff has collaborated with the oldest hat shop in the world, Lock & Co in London, to produce a limited-edition navy water-repellent flat cap.

Skipper, Team Principal and Belstaff ambassador, Sir Ben Ainslie, fronts the new collection campaign, and he will lead the 100-plus strong team, including 19 sailors, to New Zealand for the challenge of a lifetime.

Belstaff is the official on-shore outfitting partner for the team, supporting them on their quest to bring the oldest international sporting trophy back to Great Britain for the first time in its history.

The capsule collection is now available online, in Belstaff stores - where it has been merchandised so it stands out on its own - and from select retail partners.
