Beats unveils shoppable Youtube ad for Christmas
Beats has unveiled a shoppable version of its online Christmas ad featuring US comedian Tracy Morgan. The Youtube film, dubbed "A Christmas Miracle" features the comedian, donning a festive onesie, but behaving in a less-than festive fashion (skulking around his house on a hoverboard, filling his face with Christmas food and rifling through the presents under the tree).
His mood lifts when his son arrives and presents him with a pair of the must-have headphones - which were launched by music producer Dr Dre in 2008 who sold the brand to Apple in 2014. When Morgan holds up the present a screen appears directing viewers straight to Beats' e-commerce site.
Shoppable Youtube videos are expected to increase in popularity. Earlier this year fashion etailer Very.co.uk launched a shoppable Youtube campaign featuring the Rizzle Kicks.
