Astrid & Miyu reveals plans for rapid brick-and-mortar expansion

British jewellery brand, Astrid & Miyu, has announced its continued investment into physical retail following a year of significant growth, including seven store openings.

The brand has announced a further three stores in the UK and US will open later this year.  The new locations will house the brand’s complete line of stackable jewellery as well as its experiential shopping services including onsite piercings, tattoos and weldings.

This follows the company’s recent expansion into international territories, opening their first store in the US as well as a pop-up in Paris. The store openings mark a huge step in Astrid & Miyu’s long term worldwide expansion strategy, which will continue into 2023 with a second store in New York set to open next month.

Connie Nam, Founder & CEO, commented: “Community and experiences are a huge part of what makes Astrid & Miyu unique, and opening physical stores will enable us to deepen our relationship with our customers and the wider community. This has become more evident post COVID with a shift to consumers wanting real life experiences, warmth and a sense of belonging.”

Last year, Astrid & Miyu added four stores to their rapidly growing list, including Scotland, Bristol, Brighton and Kingston.

This year, the company has already opened stores in Bath and Glasgow, with new planned openings in Ireland, London’s Spitalfields Market.

Nam added: “We have built a strong community and a bit of a cult following in the UK, London specifically, and we saw so much opportunity beyond with our fans asking us to open stores in and outside of the country. We chose New York, Berlin and Paris as our first test beds because this is where our online customers and community were already.”

“We are not just a jewellery brand. We are a movement, empowering individuals and using our platform to make a positive difference to the world. This is one step towards making a wider positive impact.”
