ASOS has announced that Non-Executive Director Karen Geary will not seek re-election at this year's AGM and will step down from the board on 1 December 2022.

Having been in the role since October 2019, Geary is Chair of the Remuneration Committee and serves on the ESG and Nominations Committees. Geary is also currently a Non-Executive Director at Page Group, Sabre Insurance Group and National Express.

ASOS said a search to appoint a new Non-Executive Director is underway and an announcement will be made as appropriate in due course.

Jørgen Lindemann, Chair of ASOS, said: "On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Karen for her significant contribution to ASOS, particularly in her role as Remuneration Committee Chair and as the Board's designated representative for employee engagement, and we wish her well for the future."

Earlier this month, ASOS saw sales fall below expectations as consumers tightened their belts in response to rising bills. The brand said it is witnessing “the impact of accelerating inflationary pressures on consumers and a slow start to Autumn/Winter shopping”.
