Agnès b. to host Café du Cycliste pop-up at Covent Garden store
Premium French outdoor apparel brand Café du Cycliste is opening a pop-up within the Agnès b. store at 35-36 Floral Street in London’s Covent Garden on 25 May, set to run until 22 June 2023, complete with a 16-piece Agnès b. x Café du Cycliste collection.
Founded in 2009 as a shop, café and workshop on the Côte d’Azur, Café du Cycliste offers innovative performance clothing and accessories for cycling, as well as outdoor and lifestyle collections for men and women, all “designed with a bold spirit”. Products are mostly made in Europe, with a strong emphasis on recycled materials.
Highlights from the brand’s current collection will be available at the pop-up, while the dedicated Agnès b. x Café du Cycliste collection includes men’s and women’s cycle bibs at £245, cycle tops at £175, a bandanna at £55 and a cycling cap at £30 – all produced by Café du Cycliste. Ready-to-wear pieces, produced by Agnès b., include a cardigan for £165, a polo shirt at £155, T-shirts for £85, culottes and shorts – both priced at £225, and vests for £80.
Agnès b., Founder and CEO of her eponymous label, said: “I have always loved cycling. I was one of the first to commute in Paris. I used to get from my apartment on Rue de Rivoli to the office on Rue Dieu in nine minutes. I immediately liked the spirit of Café du Cycliste. We have common values and I love the South of France -where the brand is from!”
Rémi Clermont, Co-Founder and Designer of Café du Cycliste, commented: “I have always seen Agnès b. as a unique brand with an interesting vision of society. We totally share the idea that cycling should become more than just a sport and blend into people’s lives. More than a fashion brand, we wanted to work with people that share our vision even if we see it through different lenses.”
