Unilever has paused all of its imports and exports of products in and out of Russia, with the company confirming it will not invest any further capital into the country or profit from its presence in Russia.

Unilever also confirmed it will also stop all media and advertising spend across the country immediately.

The company's business operations in Ukraine have also stopped, with the company "fully focused" on ensuring the safety of its Ukrainian employees and their families. Additionally, it has committed to donate €5 million of essential Unilever products to the humanitarian relief effort.

In a statement, Unilever said: "We join calls for an end to this war and hope that peace, human rights, and the international rule of law will prevail.”
