Singer and beauty entrepreneur, Rihanna has unveiled her debut line of skin care products under Fenty Skin.
Rihanna teased the launch in April this year, but did not disclose further details on what the line up would feature.
Fenty Skin offers three hero items—Total Cleans’r Remove-It-All Cleanser, Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum, and Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen.
After years of feeling overwhelmed by the daily abundance of new additions to the market combined with the beauty entreprenuer’s negative experience with a product that caused discoloration on her skin, she decided the launch of Fenty Skin was imperative.
Similar to the Fenty Beauty range, which offers a wide range of shades to the beauty market, Rihanna intends on spearheading the skincare industry with her new line.
Rihanna said: “I wanted it to feel approachable, easy and to take the pressure off choosing a routine, so I created one for everyone.”
She added: “I’ve lived and traveled all over the world and I wanted to make sure that Fenty Skin represented the best of the best when it came to our ingredients.”
“I wanted safe, clean, effective formulas that celebrated and respected what our planet has to offer.”
Products from the new Fenty Skin range are packaged in post-consumer recycled materials.
Skincare expert Sean Garrette has also been named by the brand as its first Skin Ambassador.
The products’ pre-sale began today via fentyskin.com and will officially launch on 31 July.
In late 2017, Rihanna launched Fenty Beauty and within it’s first 40 days, the brand reportedly made $100 million in sales and most significantly it created what has now been dubbed ‘The Fenty Effect’ with its 40 foundation shades prompting the beauty industry to produce more inclusive shade ranges.
