Zadig & Voltaire renews focus on Paris with new Creative Director appointment
Zadig & Voltaire has appointed Dan Sablon, the current cultural director-at-large at Vogue France, as its new Creative Director.
Sablon will bring a renewed focus on Parisian culture and its influence on global style, according to the French luxury fashion brand.
His first collection for Zadig & Voltaire will be presented on 9 March during Paris Fashion Week AW26.
A Paris native, Sablon has fifteen years of experience in editorial, fashion and culture. His notable roles include being former fashion director of Lui magazine and contributing editor at i-D magazine.
He is also known for his early years in the New York fashion scene, working alongside Marc Jacobs, as well as for his collaborations with Carhartt and Fenty x Puma.
Thierry Gillier, the brand’s founder and owner, will be taking a step back from designing to focus on leading the business.
CEO of Zadig & Voltaire, Arnaud Gillier, commented that Dan’s appointment will further the brand’s international development, which was solidified in 2021 under the leadership of then President Rémy Baume.
Thierry Gillier, founder and owner of Zadig & Voltaire, said: "Zadig&Voltaire has always stood for freedom of spirit, instinct, and a distinct Parisian rock attitude. Dan’s modern vision and creative intelligence, combined with his deep understanding of our codes, make him the right choice to lead the creative direction of the Maison today. This appointment marks an important step in the evolution of Zadig&Voltaire, and I look forward to opening this new chapter together."
Dan Sablon added: "To join Zadig&Voltaire at this moment in its evolution is an honor. It has always embodied a distinct Paris attitude, effortless but intentional. My ambition is to refine that energy and to build a wardrobe with clarity and edge, grounded in strong archetypes and informed by culture today."
