Yogi Footwear launches first women's collection

Premium and sustainable shoe brand Yogi Footwear is adding a women’s edit of its staple styles to its range for AW19.

The collection features two core styles in six colours adapted from its "Contemporary" menswear range, with more traditional Yogi shapes to be added for SS20.

The new range features modern silhouettes which utilise traditional construction methods. The brand uses naturally formed lasts with soft earthy leathers and buttery suedes, which are hand sewn in at a third-generation family-owned factory in Portugal.

Yogi Footwear head of marketing, Jennie Bianco, said: “We are targeting women in their 30’s and 40’s who have an affinity for the 90’s, which is when Yogi first launched. The response has been so positive that for SS20 we will expand the range with our ‘Classic’ line and the iconic negative heel heritage shapes. Our aim is to be the footwear brand of choice for men and women who appreciate both style and substance.

A revamped brand website is also on the way, as Bianco added: “We have steadily built our online business to include collaborations with influencers to reach our target audience, and we have invested in a website redesign for September.”

The new women’s "Winstone" style is a hand crafted, unlined boot with a cup sole featuring full leather uppers and a natural crepe wrap around sole unit in black, set to retail at £140.

Yogi "Rufus" is a hand crafted, unlined shoe with a cup sole featuring full leather uppers and natural crepe wrap around sole unit - available for AW19 in black, burnt orange, olive, white and stone, to retail at £130.

The new Yogi #GoFeetFirst campaign for 2019 celebrates the natural style and sustainability of the Yogi Footwear brand by focusing on its superior craftsmanship and supportive construction, which first came to prominence with the style cognoscenti in the 1990’s.

Yogi Footwear is committed to sustainability and the brand uses locally sourced materials as well as recycled shoeboxes to lower the carbon footprint. It also limits the use of solvent-based adhesives through advanced design.
