Yahoo Style will be bringing consumers live catwalk coverage, trend reports and more from London Fashion Week as it has signed a deal with the British Fashion Council (BFC) to be the event's "official live partner".

The online style hub is also promising video interviews with designers, models, and hair and make-up artists which will be supported by articles, slideshows, look-books, street style round-ups and daily show reports in a move which ties in with the BFC's stated aim to involve consumers more widely in London Fashion Weeks.

As well as the forthcoming event later this month the agreement extends to the February 2018 event and London Fashion Week Men’s in June 2018, and the platform will be live reporting from The Fashion Awards in December. It also plans to highlight the work of up-and-coming British design talent throughout the year, with interviews and slideshows promoting their work.

"London Fashion Week is a highlight of the industry calendar, marking one of the most diverse, creative showcases on the fashion circuit. Yahoo Style is a destination for the fashion conscious and we’re thrilled to be working with the British Fashion Council to make the events more accessible than ever before," said Yahoo Style editor Alison Coldridge. "We’ll be at every runway, in front of leading designers and on the streets speaking with the public about all the latest styles and trends."

BFC communications director Clara Mercer said: "Over the past five years we have built our digital and content strategy, which aims to take London Fashion Week to a broader consumer audience through diverse and engaging content, using digital platforms to promote British and international designers. Our partnership with Yahoo Style enhances the BFC’s digital and innovation pillar, by projecting London Fashion Week and its associated brands across the globe."

London Fashion Week takes place at The Store Studios, 180 Strand from from 15-19 September.
