Wrangler collaborates on new "Value" collection with Opening Ceremony
US denim giants Wrangler has produced an exclusive collection for AW19, called "Value", in collaboration with Opening Ceremony.
The design collaboration revives key styles which Wrangler piled high in US superstores during the 1990’s, when Americans were buying cargo pants, wide-leg jeans and graphic tees. Oversize silhouettes dominate. Denim jackets are boxy, and jeans, dungarees and denim cargo pants are wide.
The "Value" name of the collection is inspired by the big-box stores where these styles were popular, and where people threw in a pair of jeans into their shopping baskets – along with their groceries.
It also references the values of Wrangler as a brand and its commitment to sustainability. The collection is made in limited quantities, using only organic cotton.
The collection will be available exclusively at Opening Ceremony stores and on openingceremony.com.
