Burton is a British menswear brand founded in 1903. It was first listed on the London stock exchange in 1929, by which time it had 400 stores, factories and mills.<\/p>\n
Sir Phillip Green acquired Burton in 2002, joining the Arcadia Group. In July 2020, Arcadia Group planned to cut jobs at Burton to minimise costs. In February 2021, Boohoo finalised the purchase of Dorothy Perkins, Wallis and Burton from Arcadia, completing the sell-off of brands from Sir Philip Green\u2019s collapsed fashion empire.<\/p>\n
