{"id":233955,"date":"2023-05-31T08:30:50","date_gmt":"2023-05-31T07:30:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/?p=233955"},"modified":"2023-05-31T17:17:16","modified_gmt":"2023-05-31T16:17:16","slug":"converse-names-new-ceo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/converse-names-new-ceo\/","title":{"rendered":"Converse names new CEO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/about.nike.com\/en\/company\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nike, Inc.<\/a> has appointed Jared Carver as the new President and CEO of <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/the_directory\/converse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Converse<\/a><\/span>, effective 1 June 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Carver will succeed Scott Uzzell, who has transitioned to a new role as Vice President\/General Manager of Nike in the North America market.<\/p>\n<p>In his new role, Carver will report to John Donahoe, President and CEO of Nike, Inc.<\/p>\n<p>Carver has served as Vice President\/General Manager of Converse North America since 2019, where he has \"unlocked strong growth\" in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to this, he held roles such as Vice President\/General Manager of Global Digital Direct, Vice President of Strategy, and Director of Strategy and Business Development for Converse's European Headquarters.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement follows a number of recent leadership changes at Nike, Inc. to help deepen the group's consumer-led growth and marketplace advantage. These include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Heidi O\u2019Neill - President of Consumer, Product &amp; Brand at Nike, Inc.<\/li>\n<li>Craig Williams <span style=\"font-size: 1.8rem;\">- President, Geographies &amp; Marketplace at Nike, Inc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Sarah Mensah - President of Jordan brand.<\/li>\n<li>Scott Uzzell - Vice President\/General Manager of Nike North America.<\/li>\n<li>Andy Campion - Managing Director of Strategic Business Ventures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition,\u00a0Matthew Friend<span style=\"font-size: 1.8rem;\">, <\/span>Executive<span style=\"font-size: 1.8rem;\"> Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Nike, Inc., has expanded his responsibilities to include procurement, global places and services and demand and supply management.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year,<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/nikes-consumer-direct-acceleration-strategy-helps-sales-rise-14-in-q3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Nike reported a 14% increase in third quarter revenues to \u00a310.1 billion ($12.4 billion)<\/a><\/span>,\u00a0showcasing \"continued proof of the success\" of its Consumer Direct Acceleration strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Revenues at Converse totalled \u00a3498.5 million ($612 million), up 8% on a reported basis and up 12% on a currency-neutral basis, led by double-digit growth across all channels in North America, partially offset by sales decline across Asia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":100,"featured_media":233963,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_exactmetrics_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[6,20822],"tags":[14525,12049,9875,35],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
