MODE, Ahluwalia, Alighieri, Completedworks, P\u012aFERI and Supriya Lele.<\/p>\n<p>The BFC\/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund was established in 2008 to \u201ccelebrate exceptional talent and creativity\u201d and empower business growth through bespoke top level mentoring and professional services. The fund receives the generous support of British Vogue, Burberry and Paul Smith.<\/p>\n<p>Caroline Rush, CEO of the BFC and Co-Chair of this year\u2019s judging panel, along with Edward Enninful, Editor-in-Chief of British Vogue and European Editorial Director of Vogue, said: \u201cCongratulations to all the shortlisted designers. We were amazed by the incredible breadth of talent each of the designers displayed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cComing out of London Fashion Week, London has reaffirmed itself as\u00a0the\u00a0city for creativity and innovation and each of these brands so perfectly exemplifies that talent and fighting spirit that the UK is known for. We are incredibly grateful to our funders for allowing us to continue to secure the pipeline of creative talent here in the UK.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s judging panel includes designer and model, Alexa Chung, who commented: \u201cIt is an honour to be able to lend my support to this initiative. There are so many important designers in this year\u2019s running and it is clearly more vital than ever to nourish creatives with the financial support and meaningful business mentorship that this fund provides.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWitnessing how so many of them are focused on ensuring fashion can enjoy a future in tandem with sustainability is particularly exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The fund criteria focuses on excellence in design and strong business acumen, and the applicants\u2019 collections should consist primarily of womenswear and\/or womenswear accessories, though \u201call gender collections are also eligible\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The application process also encourages brands to think strategically about the three pillars of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/instituteofpositivefashion.com\/About-IPF\">Institute of Positive Fashion<\/a>; environment, people, and community &amp; craftsmanship, and meeting the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.britishfashioncouncil.co.uk\/business-support-awards\/BFCVogue-Designer-Fashion-Fund\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IPF Minimum Standards<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The fund provides the winner with a cash prize to support their growth and \u201ccontribution to the British and global fashion ecosystem\u201d, alongside the bespoke mentoring and professional services.<\/p>\n<p>The shortlisted designers will be interviewed by the fund judging panel with the winner, or winners, announced in May 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Image: Left -
