Prior to this, he served as Head of Buying at Blacks Leisure Group. Platts began his career at <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/the_directory\/next\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NEXT<\/a><\/span>, moving up the ranks from Floor Manager to the role of Sales, Sourcing &amp; Product Development Manager in Asia.<\/p>\n<p>In a post on LinkedIn, Simon Platts said: \"What an amazing time I\u2019ve had over the last nearly 10 years. And what a journey I\u2019ve been on with ASOS. I'm now looking forward, to seeing how I can continue on this journey to influence better in this amazing industry, from a different angle.\"<\/p>\n<p>Last month, ASOS announced the appointment of Scott Millar as it seeks to shore up its financial performance. Dubbed a \"company doctor\", Miller will act as Interim CFO following Katy Mecklenburgh's upcoming departure.<\/p>\n<p>This followed a<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> <a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/asos-festive-sales-drop-3-as-it-updates-on-progress-on-driving-change-agenda\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">drop in sales for the four months ending 31 December 2022<\/a><\/span>, after being hit by \"subdued demand in the UK due to funeral of HM the Queen and postal strikes ahead of Christmas\".
