In an effort to make circular fashion more accessible, ACS (Advanced Clothing Solutions) has partnered with e-commerce giant eBay, which has been synonymous with secondhand fashion for over 25 years.

ACS is working with the retailer to expand its online marketplace’s pre-loved offering, whilst simultaneously helping to reduce textile waste. The work is expected to help more brands to create and scale resale offerings and give eBay UK’s 20 million customers more choices in secondhand goods.

ACS’ eBay shop will stock pieces from well-known brands. The company will clean and repair second-hand items as well as arrange the logistics of listing and delivery. The first retail partner to launch on ACS’ eBay Shop is Monsoon, with other high street names to follow shortly.

All of Monsoon's proceeds through its eBay ACS shop will be donated to The Monsoon Accessorize Trust.

Jemma Tadd, Head of Fashion at eBay UK, said: “Across the fashion industry we know there is a greater need to build a sustainable future. Since 1995, eBay has extended the life cycle of products, whether through consumer-to-consumer reselling or our Imperfects hub, so it’s fantastic to partner with ACS, who are at the forefront of enabling the circular fashion economy."

New research from eBay revealed 87% of UK adults said they have bought an item secondhand in the past year, whilst 63% say they have sold a secondhand item. Correlating to the figures, eBay reported one secondhand fashion sale is taking place every second so far in 2022.
