Award categories announced today include Designer of the Year, Model of the Year, Independent British Brand and the BFC Foundation Award \u2013 the winners of which will be revealed on the night.<\/p>\n<p>Over 1000 key members of the international fashion industry were called upon to vote for this year\u2019s global accolades, defining the final nominees, winners and Leaders of Change.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Designer of the Year<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Recognises a British or international designer whose innovative collections have made a notable impact on the industry.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demna for <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/the_directory\/balenciaga\/\">Balenciaga<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Jonathan Anderson for <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/the_directory\/jw-anderson\/\">JW Anderson<\/a><\/span> &amp; <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/the_directory\/loewe\/\">LOEWE<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Matthieu Blazy for Bottega Veneta<\/li>\n<li>Miuccia Prada<\/li>\n<li>Pierpaolo Piccioli for Valentino<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Model of the Year<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Recognises the global impact of a model who over the last 12 months has dominated the industry.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adut Akech<\/li>\n<li>Bella Hadid<\/li>\n<li>Lila Moss<\/li>\n<li>Paloma Elsesser<\/li>\n<li>Quannah Chasinghorse<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Independent British Brand<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Recognises a British designer who, while running an independent business over the last 12 months, has had a notable impact on the industry.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bianca Saunders<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/the_directory\/erdem\/\">Erdem<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li>JW Anderson<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/the_directory\/molly-goddard\/\">Molly Goddard<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Wales Bonner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>BFC Foundation Award<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Recognises an emerging designer, from those receiving support from the BFC Foundation in this year, who over the last 12 months has had a major creative impact on global fashion. This includes the NEWGEN recipients, the BFC\/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund winner and shortlist, the BFC\/GQ Designer Fashion Fund winner and shortlist and the BFC Fashion Trust recipients.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ahluwalia<\/li>\n<li>Chopova Lowena<\/li>\n<li>Nensi Dojaka<\/li>\n<li>S.S.DALEY<\/li>\n<li>Wales Bonner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Caroline Rush, Chief Executive BFC commented: \u201cI would like to congratulate all the nominees of The Fashion Awards 2022. Each one of them contributes a remarkable amount towards creating an industry that promotes self-expression and individuality, perpetuates joy and optimism and pioneers in innovation and positive change. I look forward to celebrating the incredible work of our nominees, Leaders of Change, Award winners and the wider industry on 5th December.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 2022 accolades also include fifteen Leaders of Change, representing the designers, brands, creatives, and individuals who created positive change within the fashion industry this past year under three categories: Environment, People and Creativity. These will be revealed live during the show.<\/p>\n<p>Other awards include the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator and Outstanding Achievement Award.
