{"id":217837,"date":"2022-10-18T10:00:21","date_gmt":"2022-10-18T09:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/?p=217837"},"modified":"2022-10-18T20:23:44","modified_gmt":"2022-10-18T19:23:44","slug":"next-hires-ex-asos-head-of-sustainability","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/next-hires-ex-asos-head-of-sustainability\/","title":{"rendered":"Next hires ex-ASOS Head of Sustainability"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/the_directory\/next\/\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Next<\/span><\/a> has appointed ex-ASOS Head of Sustainability Jo Mourant as its new Head of Sustainability, Corporate Responsibility and Product Legislation, effective immediately.<\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In her new role, Mourant will lead and oversee the businesses sustainability plans and implementation, corporate responsibility and product production, including at its product testing lab.<\/p>\n<p>Mourant was most recently ASOS's Head of Sustainability, where she led the development and delivery of the environmental aspect of its 'Fashion With Integrity' strategy. The strategy saw <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/the_directory\/asos\/\">ASOS<\/a><\/span> reduce the footprint and impact of own brand ASOS products and partner with third Party Brands to reduce impact &amp; share learnings.<\/p>\n<p>She also collaborated closely with the Ethical Trade team to develop a shared approach to managing social and environmental issues within ASOS's supply chain.
