Stella McCartney and LVMH's beauty division have unveiled STELLA by Stella McCartney, a new line offering an alternative to luxury skincare, which they have branded \"Alter-Care\".<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

In keeping with the British fashion designer's approach to her clothing and accessories collection,\u00a0<\/span>the conscious skincare line is vegan and cruelty-free,<\/strong>and is designed to be as natural, effective and responsible as possible.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cWe set out with an idea, and because we didn\u2019t want to compromise \u2013 on outstanding results, the origin of our ingredients, and, of course, ensuring we minimised our impact on Mother Earth \u2013 we kept on trying.\u00a0<\/b><\/span>We worked hard for almost three years with LVMH constantly evolving and aiming for what I felt was possible:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>rooted in nature, truly effective and responsible skincare. It\u2019s a game changer and I want to share it with everyone. I believe the consumer needs to know there\u2019s another way, that they have a choice,\u201d explained Stella McCartney.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Based on McCartney\u2019s personal philosophy of using \"only what you need\", the range consists of three products:\u00a0<\/span>Reset Cleanser, Alter-Care Serum and Restore Cream.<\/strong>\u00a0Each stage of the product lifecycle has been challenged to minimise its impact \u2013 from the ingredients to the packaging, to operations all the way through to consumer usage. All product formulas are made with\u00a0<\/b><\/span>at least 99% natural-origin ingredients<\/strong>, and each is available in an eco-conscious refill.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The line has a uniquely scent, \"High Cliff\", created in collaboration with renowned perfumer Francis Kurkdjian and inspired by the designer's childhood in Scotland.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

All the products will be available on\u00a0<\/span>www.stellamccartneybeauty.com<\/span>\u00a0<\/a>and through a selection of UK retailers and boutiques including: the\u00a0<\/span>Stella McCartney UK flagship store on Old Bond Street from early September and Space NK from mid-September.\u00a0<\/strong>Prices are Reset Cleanser, \u00a350, Alter-Care Serum, \u00a3110, and Restore Cream, \u00a385.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The STELLA line comes three years after luxury conglomerate LVMH invested in Stella McCartney's label, which had previously been backed by rival group Kering.
