Apart from its selection of affordable sportswear items, the store will also feature its Second Life collection, which sees pre-loved sports equipment given a second life after being repaired by Decathlon.<\/p>\n<p>Decathlon currently operates around 2,000 outlets around the world and 49 in the UK.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/decathlon-makes-first-move-into-rental-market\/\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">In its financial year 2020 trading update the retailer revealed that its online revenue rose<\/span> 122.4% in the UK\u00a0compared to 2019<\/a>, showcasing the pivot in consumer behaviour during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/decathlon-makes-first-move-into-rental-market\/\">Decathlon has also made first moves into the rental market this year by teaming up with resale company Hirestreet to offer customers the chance to rent ski-wear and outerwear.\u00a0\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":103,"featured_media":204682,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_exactmetrics_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[10488,6,10494],"tags":[15124,11834,35,9952],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Decathlon to open new Liverpool store in former Next location - TheIndustry.fashion<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"Sporting goods retailer Decathlon is to open a new 26,900 sq ft store in Liverpool&#039;s city centre next week, taking over a former Next store.
