Issue Twelve, the new conscious fashion collection from Leah Chapman (daughter of MATCHESFASHION founders Tom and Ruth Chapman), has opened its first physical retail presence in the form of a three-week pop up store in Marylebone Village.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Open for three weeks, the store at 32-34 New Cavendish Street, showcases the brand's elevated basics, which were first launched online in April, along with some exclusive styles such as\u00a0a speckled wool tweed winter kilt and a double breasted wool and recycled\u00a0cashmere pea coat in chocolate brown.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Issue Twelve seeks to tell the story of each of the pieces in its collection from the\u00a0origin of its fibre to the\u00a0factory where it\u2019s made<\/strong> and the retail stores helps with this aim, explained Leah Chapman.<\/p>\n

\"I\u2019m incredibly excited to be able to welcome my customer into the Issue Twelve world for the first time. As an online business I\u00a0wanted to be able to showcase the culture and ethos of the brand and bring it to life.<\/strong> The journey of how each garment has been\u00a0made and the quality of the fabrication is intrinsic to the brand. It needs to be touched and felt, there is a story behind every\u00a0piece.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"I knew from the beginning that I wanted to have transparency across the collection. I wanted to track and understand the\u00a0production journey and supply chain, and share that with our customers. The majority of our pieces are made in London and we\u00a0work with local producers and experts to minimise our carbon footprint.<\/strong> We work with factories that only use renewable energy\u00a0and natural materials, prioritising certified GOTS fibres, virgin wool from responsible farms and deadstock yarn. It\u2019s definitely\u00a0not been the easiest option but I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved.\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Chapman studied graphic design at the prestigious California Institute of the Arts<\/strong> and the West Coast has informed her\u00a0sensibility for form, space, light and composition that shapes her collection. She grew up around her parents' business and has a deep understanding of fashion retail, production and presentations.<\/p>\n

Among other pieces, the collection comprises knitwear, such as soft cashmere vests retailing at \u00a3290, through to wool trousers (\u00a3235) and corduroys (\u00a3265), as well as outerwear including an oversized cashmere \"Grandpa\" coat in tweed for \u00a3750 and cashmere for \u00a31,225.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
