{"id":179412,"date":"2021-09-17T10:03:53","date_gmt":"2021-09-17T10:03:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/?p=179412"},"modified":"2021-09-17T13:12:55","modified_gmt":"2021-09-17T13:12:55","slug":"kenzo-appoints-sylvain-blanc-as-new-ceo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/kenzo-appoints-sylvain-blanc-as-new-ceo\/","title":{"rendered":"Kenzo appoints Sylvain Blanc as new CEO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/intelligence\/lvmh\">LVMH Group<\/a> has announced the appointment of Sylvain Blanc as the new Chief Executive Officer of luxury fashion house <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/intelligence\/kenzo\">Kenzo<\/a>.<span id=\"more-179547\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Blanc<strong> joins the fashion house from underwear label Undiz<\/strong>, where he has been CEO since 2018. Earlier in his career, he was Vice President of Europe at The Kooples.<\/p>\n<p>Blanc <strong>succeeds Sylvie Colin who is moving on to pursue a personal project abroad<\/strong>. Colin had been at the helm of Kenzo since September 2017, having previously been CEO of French women\u2019s ready-to-wear brand Maje.<\/p>\n<p>Kenzo Takada, who launched Kenzo in 1970, passed away in Paris in October 2020 from COVID-19 complications.<\/p>\n<p>The new appointment was first announced by Sidney Toledano, Chairman and CEO of the LVMH Fashion Group.<\/p>\n<p>Toledano commented: \u201cI am delighted to welcome Sylvain as Chief Executive Officer of Kenzo. Sylvain is passionate about fashion and has extensive experience in retail. <strong>He combines an entrepreneurial itinerary with a proven ability to relaunch and develop established brands.
