Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield has unveiled flags at its Westfield Stratford shopping centre, in support of the LGBTQ+ community for Pride Month.

As part of the shopping destination's celebrations of pride, flags have been installed in the outside shopping areas, as well as a rotating display on internal advertising screens.

The flags chosen by Westfield are the 2018 Progress Pride flag, designed by Daniel Quasar. While retaining the common six-stripe rainbow design as a base, the Progress variation features black, brown, light blue, pink, and white stripes to raise awareness for marginalised people of colour and trans individuals in the LGBTQ+ community.

The new pride signs are in addition to Westfield's new marketing campaign "Working Together", which features visuals for the changes people will see at the centres including regularly using hand sanitiser stations, social distance queues and less parking spaces.

In 2018, Westfield Stratford was host to a Pride campaign with Volvo, with car parking icons changed to reflect the variety in modern families.

Many companies have continued to show their support for the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month, despite no clear season of queer events to target their product to.

Throughout Pride Month 2020, TheIndustry.fashion is proud to showcase the brands who continue to support the LGBTQ+ community by releasing collections, donating funds or breaking down barriers in communities.

Earlier this month, TheIndustry.fashion visited Westfield Stratford to see the new social distancing measures and crowd levels on the first week of non-essential retail reopening.
