Camden Market owner LabTech has revealed plans to reopen the market on 1 June<\/strong>, following the government\u2019s announcement of the easing of the lockdown.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Implementing a phased approach to the reopening, LabTech is anticipating up to 80% of food and beverage traders<\/strong> will be participating from 1 June, with retail traders following from 15 June.<\/p>\n Measures being introduced include a strict \"one-way\" system across the market site,<\/strong> with maps outlining the correct flow of traffic at hand-sanitiser stations and strategic crossroads. Floor markers are also being installed for social distancing.<\/p>\n Given the open-air nature of Camden Market, and the abundant exterior space, there will also be socially distanced seating and tables<\/strong> to increase the sense of safety.<\/p>\n LabTech\u2019s CEO, Yaron Shahar, said:\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cWe have three priorities as we prepare to re-open, doing so safely and responsibly for visitors, traders and the wider community<\/strong>, supporting traders as comprehensively as possible as they re-start their businesses, and learning from this first phase as we plan to open Buck Street and other areas of the estate.<\/p>\n \u201cOur comprehensive range of measures have been devised to ensure we can achieve these objectives, and we will continue to support our local businesses<\/strong> through these unprecedented times as we move out of lockdown.\u201d<\/p>\n LabTech\u2019s support for its tenants includes an extension of the rent-free period for all traders,<\/strong> which was introduced three months ago.<\/p>\n For the foreseeable future, traders will be expected to adhere to factors in line with government recommendations, including\u00a0limiting the number of customers entering at any one time,<\/strong> maintaining a strict cleaning regime, and accepting card payments only, where possible.<\/p>\n The announcement follows LabTech\u2019s recent launch of a series of initiatives to aid the emergency services and vulnerable during the coronavirus epidemic, including\u00a0complimentary STAY apartments for NHS workers and their families.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" […]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":39,"featured_media":138679,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_exactmetrics_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[16042,6,10494],"tags":[10598,5707,13627,19795],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
