{"id":166480,"date":"2020-05-28T16:19:00","date_gmt":"2020-05-28T16:19:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/labtech-to-reopen-camden-market-on-1-june\/"},"modified":"2021-08-06T12:05:55","modified_gmt":"2021-08-06T12:05:55","slug":"labtech-to-reopen-camden-market-on-1-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/labtech-to-reopen-camden-market-on-1-june\/","title":{"rendered":"LabTech to reopen Camden Market on 1 June"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Camden Market owner LabTech has revealed <strong>plans to reopen the market on 1 June<\/strong>, following the government\u2019s announcement of the easing of the lockdown.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Implementing a phased approach to the reopening, LabTech is <strong>anticipating up to 80% of food and beverage traders<\/strong> will be participating from 1 June, with retail traders following from 15 June.<\/p>\n<p>Measures being introduced include<strong> a strict \"one-way\" system across the market site,<\/strong> with maps outlining the correct flow of traffic at hand-sanitiser stations and strategic crossroads. Floor markers are also being installed for social distancing.<\/p>\n<p>Given the open-air nature of Camden Market, and the abundant exterior space, there will also be <strong>socially distanced seating and tables<\/strong> to increase the sense of safety.<\/p>\n<p>LabTech\u2019s CEO, Yaron Shahar, said:<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cWe have three priorities as we prepare to re-open, doing so <strong>safely and responsibly for visitors, traders and the wider community<\/strong>, supporting traders as comprehensively as possible as they re-start their businesses, and learning from this first phase as we plan to open Buck Street and other areas of the estate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur comprehensive range of measures have been devised to ensure we can achieve these objectives, and<strong> we will continue to support our local businesses<\/strong> through these unprecedented times as we move out of lockdown.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>LabTech\u2019s support for its tenants includes an<strong> extension of the rent-free period for all traders,<\/strong> which was introduced three months ago.<\/p>\n<p>For the foreseeable future, traders will be expected to adhere to factors in line with government recommendations, including<strong>\u00a0limiting the number of customers entering at any one time,<\/strong> maintaining a strict cleaning regime, and accepting card payments only, where possible.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement follows LabTech\u2019s recent launch of a series of initiatives to aid the emergency services and vulnerable during the coronavirus epidemic, including\u00a0complimentary STAY apartments for NHS workers and their families.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":39,"featured_media":138679,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_exactmetrics_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[16042,6,10494],"tags":[10598,5707,13627,19795],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
