{"id":165671,"date":"2020-02-24T20:36:00","date_gmt":"2020-02-24T20:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/cambridge-satchel-secures-further-investment\/"},"modified":"2021-08-06T12:04:48","modified_gmt":"2021-08-06T12:04:48","slug":"cambridge-satchel-secures-further-investment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/cambridge-satchel-secures-further-investment\/","title":{"rendered":"Cambridge Satchel secures further investment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Cambridge Satchel Company has secured further investment from Hong Kong based private equity house Cassia Investments to aid expansion.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Founded by Julie Deane from her kitchen table in 2008, the business has recently been expanding its retail presence in the UK and<strong> now operates five stores here and has stockists in 150 countries.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cassia investments\u00a0founder Faris Ayoub has joined the business has a director and says it's a brand with aspirational global appeal, the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.standard.co.uk\/business\/the-cambridge-satchel-company-bags-new-investment-from-hong-kong-firm-a4369851.html\"><em> Evening Standard<\/em><\/a> has reported.<\/p>\n<p>Deane said Cassia's expertise in the Asian market would help the brand with its global expansion. \u201cAt a time when British exporting is key to the economy,<strong> we are proud to have investors that bring global skills and support<\/strong>. Our commitment to British manufacturing is as resolute as ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Cambridge Satchel Company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/prince-of-wales-and-duchess-of-cornwall-visit-the-cambridge-satchel-company\/\">recently welcomed the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall<\/a> to its factory in Syston, Leicestershire, to witnessed the production of one of its signature satchels from start to finish.
