Marks & Spencer has\u00a0become the first retailer to launch on-the-spot payment solution Pay With Me<\/strong> allowing shoppers to beat the queues in the last few trading days before Christmas.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Pay With Me app has been rolled out across 200 stores<\/strong> and\u00a0allows an M&S colleague to pick out customers waiting in line to pay for just a few items, and quickly process their transaction via a handheld Honeywell device.<\/p>\n

Pay With Me is fully enabled for M&S's loyalty scheme Sparks<\/strong> and can take contactless payments up to \u00a345 and PIN-enabled card payments with no limit. Customers can also pay using Apple Pay, which has recently been added as a payment option on M&S.com.<\/p>\n

Its roll-out follows the successful trial of Pay With Me at seven stores and\u00a0is the latest initiative M&S has launched to make shopping quicker and easier, such as the introduction of 1,000 additional self-service tills at\u00a069 of its higher footfall stores,<\/strong> the introduction of Scan & Shop at 30 stores, and extended shopping hours.<\/p>\n

Helen Milford, M&S Stores Director said:\u00a0\u201cThroughout the year our teams have done a fantastic job of adapting quickly to serve our customers<\/strong> through challenging and changing circumstances.<\/p>\n

\"In preparation for Christmas, we have put in place extensive measures to make shopping quicker, easier and safer for everyone \u2014 from our longest ever opening hours through to digital queue busting solutions such as our new \u2018Pay with Me\u2019 \u2014 now in over 200 stores. In these final few days we\u2019re focused on delivering for our customers to help them make the most of their Christmas,<\/strong> however they might be celebrating.\u201d<\/p>\n

M&S has also expanded its checkout-free technology Mobile Pay Go<\/strong> to every UK store, meaning customers\u00a0can skip the queues and pay for their items using their smartphone. Customers scan items as they shop and leave the store without visiting a till, all via the M&S App.<\/p>\n

It also recently introduced its\u00a0reservation-based shopping service Sparks Book & Shop<\/strong>, which allows customers to reserve a shopping slot at a time that suits them and removes the need to queue, should there be one.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
