{"id":163675,"date":"2020-12-14T14:06:29","date_gmt":"2020-12-14T14:06:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/westfield-hires-kate-orwin-as-uk-leasing-director\/"},"modified":"2021-08-06T12:09:31","modified_gmt":"2021-08-06T12:09:31","slug":"westfield-hires-kate-orwin-as-uk-leasing-director","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/westfield-hires-kate-orwin-as-uk-leasing-director\/","title":{"rendered":"Westfield hires Kate Orwin as UK Leasing Director"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"x_paragraph\"><strong><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\">Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield has announced the appointment of Kate Orwin as Leasing Director for the UK &amp; Italy.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\">In her new position, she will be <strong>responsible for leasing strategy, occupier relationships and leadership of the leasing team<\/strong>, including overseeing strategy and negotiations for current and new occupiers. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\">She will join the company from Hammerson where she was responsible for leasing its' UK portfolio of flagship destinations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\">Due to join the company in February 2021, <strong>Orwin will succeed Keith Mabbett who is taking on a new position of senior adviser<\/strong> in Westfield's business development. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>In his new role, Mabbett will utilise his networks and strong relationships to ensure Westfield\u2019s centres continue to meet the changing needs of consumers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_paragraph\"><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\">Scott Parsons, Regional Managing Director UK &amp; Italy at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, said: \u201cWe\u2019re delighted that Kate has joined our team, heading up the leasing function for Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield in the UK &amp; Italy. <strong>Kate brings with her 20 years of industry experience across flagship destinations and we look forward to welcoming her on board.<\/strong>\u201d <\/span><span class=\"x_eop\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_paragraph\"><span class=\"x_normaltextrun\">\u201cKeith Mabbett moves into his new role, having underpinned our successful leasing platform since 2004, creating unique opportunities and bringing first to market brands to our centres and reinventing our spaces.
