{"id":163628,"date":"2020-12-07T18:08:23","date_gmt":"2020-12-07T18:08:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/christopher-raeburn-hired-to-reinvigorate-stone-island-founders-brands\/"},"modified":"2021-08-06T12:09:27","modified_gmt":"2021-08-06T12:09:27","slug":"christopher-raeburn-hired-to-reinvigorate-stone-island-founders-brands","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/christopher-raeburn-hired-to-reinvigorate-stone-island-founders-brands\/","title":{"rendered":"Christopher Raeburn hired to \"reinvigorate\" Stone Island founder's brands"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>British designer Christopher Raeburn has been hired to \"reinvigorate\" the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><b>Left Hand <\/b>and <b>ST95 <\/b>brands originally established by Massimo Osti, the pioneering Italian designer who founded Stone Island.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>UK-based Left Hand Studios Limited has <strong>acquired the two brands originally developed<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0by\u00a0<\/span>Osti and plans to re-launch both in Autumn\/Winter 2021.\u00a0<\/strong>Left Hand and ST95 were formed in the mid-1990s, using the technical insights that the pioneering Osti made his own with Stone Island and C.P. Company.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>They will now be led creatively by <strong>Raeburn, who is a pioneer in his own right<\/strong> through his use of sustainable fabrics and production methods. The brands will be\u00a0based at the R\u00c6BURN Lab in East London.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Left Hand was the first brand Osti developed following his creation of Stone Island and C.P. Company<\/strong> and was launched in 1993.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>With a focus on newly developed materials, Left Hand coupled Osti\u2019s forward-thinking design skills and passion for innovation. The new collection for Autumn\/Winter 2021 will feature jackets, liners and jersey, \"all in keeping with the brand\u2019s original aesthetic yet evolved for the fashion landscape of today\".<\/p>\n<p><strong>ST95 originally launched in 1995 and was known for its sporty appeal,<\/strong> focusing on a younger audience than Left Hand. For Autumn\/Winter 2021, ST95 is being reimagined with a still youthful but responsibly minded, customer in mind. The promises to be \"forward-thinking with a nod to the brand\u2019s original roots, executed in an unexpected and contemporary way\".<\/p>\n<p>Both collections will be<strong> showcased to a hand-picked, select number of international retailers<\/strong> in February 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The news comes on the day it was announced that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/moncler-acquires-technical-outerwear-specialist-stone-island\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Italian luxury brand Moncler is to acquired Stone Island<\/a> in a two-stage deal.
