{"id":163291,"date":"2020-11-04T20:33:43","date_gmt":"2020-11-04T20:33:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/n-brown-set-to-unveil-100m-cash-injection\/"},"modified":"2021-08-06T12:08:53","modified_gmt":"2021-08-06T12:08:53","slug":"n-brown-set-to-unveil-100m-cash-injection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/n-brown-set-to-unveil-100m-cash-injection\/","title":{"rendered":"N Brown set to unveil \u00a3100m cash injection"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Home shopping group N Brown is poised to <strong>unveil a \u00a3100m cash injection along with its interim results tomorrow,<\/strong> it has been reported.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/home-shopping-retailer-n-brown-taps-investors-in-100m-fundraising-12123748\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Sky News<\/em><\/a> the Simply Be and Jacamo parent will announce a deal that <strong>could result in its chairman, Lord Alliance, becoming its majority shareholder<\/strong> and its listing shifting from the main London Stock Exchange to the junior market AIM.<\/p>\n<p>The report says that the deal will take the form of a\u00a0placing and open offer, and will be<strong> fully underwritten by Lord Alliance, who already owns 45% of the business.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>His offer to underwrite the investment could result in Lord Alliance becoming the majority shareholder if other investors do not take up their full share allocation.<\/p>\n<p>The cash would be used to <strong>pay down the company's debt and invest in its digital platform.<\/strong> Traditionally a catalogue business, which formerly had retail stores, N Brown has been pivoting its focus to its digital business in recent years.<\/p>\n<p>As well as plus-size women's specialist Simply Be and plus size men's specialist Jacamo, the group also owns the JD Williams brand that specialises in clothing for the 45-plus woman and Ambrose Wilson which targets a mature customer.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/wp-content\/uploads\/Daily-Newsletter-Banner.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-144088\" src=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/wp-content\/uploads\/Daily-Newsletter-Banner.png\" alt=\"Newsletter banner\" width=\"1680\" height=\"268\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":11,"featured_media":140968,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_exactmetrics_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[10585,6,10494],"tags":[14804,11976,11979,11974,11975],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>N Brown set to unveil \u00a3100m cash injection - TheIndustry.fashion<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"Home shopping group N Brown is poised to unveil a \u00a3100m cash injection along with its interim results tomorrow, it has been reported.
