The exceptional opportunity to further Lulu Guinness\u2019\u00a0rich creative legacy and join the incredible talent within Lulu Guinness, is truly inspiring and\u00a0exciting,\u201d said Mertens-Lustig of her appointment.<\/p>\n<p>A seasoned luxury industry executive, Mertens-Lustig has held senior global roles for brands including\u00a0<strong>Ralph Lauren, Kenzo and Coach<\/strong> before joining Agent Provocateur in 2017, just prior to the luxury lingerie label's acquisition by Four Holdings.<\/p>\n<p>Her appointment marks <strong>a further phase in the re-invigoration of the brand<\/strong>, which was established by the designer of the same name in 1989. Guinness \u2013 who became famed for her witty designs and in particular a Dali-esque Lips clutch \u2013 remains close to the brand and meets regularly with creative director Hodgson, who has been the first designer to lead the creative direction of the brand since Guinness herself.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLulu and I are absolutely delighted with the imminent arrival of Sandra. This marks the next major\u00a0step in the <strong>journey that we embarked on together in 2018 to re-energise<\/strong> the Lulu Guinness\u00a0business. Sandra will be an outstanding partner to David\u2019s creative strengths and natural\u00a0commercial instinct, and an inspirational leader for the business,\u201d said James McArthur, who has been chairman of the business since early 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The brand also appointed<strong> former Loewe CEO and Mulberry COO Lisa Montague<\/strong> as non-executive director in early 2019.\u00a0She is currently CEO of\u00a0international luxury interior furnishings group, Walker Greenbank.
