A collaboration between the two was therefore seen as a perfect fit.<\/p>\n<p>Michaela Fass, senior vice president of fashion and accessories at The Smiley Company, said: \u201cSmiley is delighted to partner with LUKE for a unique lifestyle collection<strong> combining LUKE\u2019s modern lad influences with Smiley\u2019s music heritage<\/strong> of 50 years. There is a fun play on the two brands\u2019 logos.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-130278 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/wp-content\/uploads\/DSC03701-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Luke 1977\" width=\"612\" height=\"408\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Created in 1972 by French journalist Franklin Loufrani, who launched a happiness promotion in the France Soir newspaper, using the Smiley icon to highlight good news stories, <strong>the Smiley face came to prominence in the UK in the late 1980\u2019s<\/strong> and early 90\u2019s as a symbol of the \"acid house\" music and rave scene.<\/p>\n<p>The new collection, <strong>priced between \u00a335-\u00a340,<\/strong> is timely given the current trend for all things 90\u2019s.
