{"id":162298,"date":"2019-10-03T16:55:47","date_gmt":"2019-10-03T16:55:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/qasimi-names-successor-to-late-designer\/"},"modified":"2021-08-12T14:04:39","modified_gmt":"2021-08-12T14:04:39","slug":"qasimi-names-successor-to-late-designer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/qasimi-names-successor-to-late-designer\/","title":{"rendered":"Qasimi names successor to late designer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Qasimi, the London-based luxury urban label, has announced that the business will now be lead by Hoor Al Qasimi, twin sister of the brand's founder<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theindustry.fashion\/fashion-designer-khalid-qasimi-dies-in-london-aged-39\/\"> Khalid Al Qasimi who passed away at the age of just 39 in July<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>As creative director, Hoor Al Qasimi will be responsible for all creative and business activities of the brand while the<strong>\u00a0design team will continue to be led by Adam Rice.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cHoor will endeavour to preserve \u2013 and further \u2013 Khalid\u2019s legacy and make sure that his memory is kept alive,\u201d the brand said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Khalid Al Qasimi was the\u00a0<strong>son of the Ruler of Sharjah.\u00a0<\/strong>He founded his Qasimi Homme in 2008, having been educated at Central Saint Martins, and Qasimi was launched in 2016. The brand\u00a0<strong>showed at London Fashion Week Men\u2019s<\/strong> and is stocked in 50 stores, 30 cities and 15 countries globally.<\/p>\n<p>His sister was also educated in London but in art. She <strong>studied at the Slade School of Fine Art and is a practicing artist and curator<\/strong>.
