He recently left global insurer and investment business AIG where he was also CFO, delivering \u201cnew profitability and financing strategies\u201d for the \u00a35bn revenue business.<\/p>\n<p><strong>He succeeds Timon Drakesmith, the current CFO and managing director of premium outlets<\/strong>, at Hammerson who, as announced in May 2019, has decided to leave the company.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on Lenton\u2019s appointment, chair of the board, David Tyler, said: \u201cDuring his career he has demonstrated significant success in working with and managing complex organisations which are experiencing periods of substantial change.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe expect his track record in this area, combined with his ability to bring a fresh perspective, to be very valuable to the on-going management and performance of Hammerson.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The company has also recently announced that Simon Travis has been appointed to the role of group investment director and managing director of premium outlets.
