He will assume his new role once CFO and current premium outlets\u00a0MD, Timon Drakesmith, has left the business, and <strong>will report directly to CEO David Atkins.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Atkins said:\u00a0\u201cSimon\u2019s appointment will <strong>strengthen our already talented premium outlets team<\/strong>, and his experience and leadership will be invaluable as the business seeks to create further value for its guests, brand partners, employees and investors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Travis <strong>joined Hammerson in 1998, and has held a number of roles<\/strong> including investment manager and business development director.<\/p>\n<p>Premium outlets <strong>now accounts for 27% of Hammerson\u2019s property portfolio.<\/strong> Hammerson currently has interests in 20 outlets in 14 European countries. It sold its majority stake in Parisian retail destination Italie Deux last month, as it reported a loss in its half-year results.<\/p>\n<p>Given the business\u2019 strategic focus on debt reduction, Hammerson has also <strong>appointed Bruce Nutman to the role of senior investment manager,<\/strong> reporting to Simon Travis.
