First it<strong> scours charity stores and home clearance sites for items to sell<\/strong>.\u00a0Each item sourced is checked to ensure it meets quality standards before being uploaded to its site.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, <strong>customers can also sell their used clothing online using the \"Patabag\" system<\/strong>. To do so consumers access the website and enter the details of their unwanted clothing to receive a quote from Patatam for purchasing them. The can then request a free Patabag postage bag to mail the items to the website.<\/p>\n<p>Provided the items meet Patatam\u2019s standards, <strong>a payment is sent out there and then.<\/strong> Patatam then handle the resale of the items to the public as a separate transaction without any need for the original user to get involved.<\/p>\n<p>Eric Gagnaire, co-founder at Patatam said: \u201cFollowing our successful launch in France in 2013, we now feel it is the time to bring this concept to the UK. At Patatam,<strong> we support those shoppers who want to be fashionable, but do so more ethically,<\/strong> by searching for or selling their pre-loved quality clothing from their favourite high street brands.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur mission at Patatam is to <strong>reduce the high levels of clothing waste in landfills in the UK.<\/strong> This can be done through purchasing the pre-loved quality clothes from the site or using our new, revolutionary Patabag, which removes the inconvenience of selling on their quality second hand clothes. We just ask users to send their clothes to us and they then receive a payment for their clothes \u2013 and that\u2019s it! They don\u2019t have to do anything else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gagnaire added: \u201c<strong>We want to bring second hand clothing to the mainstream<\/strong> and make fashion shopping ethical for all involved.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Items, currently for women and children, can be filtered on the Patatam site via size, brands and season and customers can also opt to browse for new items with tags only.<strong> All clothing comes with free 48 hour delivery service<\/strong>, \u00a32 next day delivery service, free returns and no minimum spend on orders.
